The series of images is composed of photographic shots that overlap. Snapshots are combined with one another, merging into one another and creating new visual worlds in which contours dissolve, new structures emerge and the transience of time is depicted. All the pictures are black and white. The first motif in the artistic series shows the painted Berlin Wall, a remaining fragment that has been left standing since the fall of the Wall. Today, the former section of the Wall is an open-air gallery. At a 90-degree angle, two people, tourists, semi-transparent, appear to be walking through the Wall.

The second composition shows another section of the Berlin Wall, which is also painted. A group of people walks in front of the Wall, only the legs of the people and the lower part of a baby carriage are recognizable. Behind the wall, multi-storey residential or office buildings can be seen next to construction cranes. The textures of the facades and the wall are graphically and attractively distorted by the overlays.
“Sunday Excursion at the Wall” from the picture series ‘Established Freedoms’ (Berlin) / 2024

The memorial to fallen Red Army soldiers in the Großer Tierpark on Strasse des 17. Juni is flanked by two Soviet tanks from the Second World War. On the day the photo was taken in August 2024, there were barricades in front of the memorial. The artistic photograph shows several superimpositions of a tank with the barricades.
“Change in Symbolic Content” from the picture series ‘Established Freedoms’ (Berlin) / 2024

The picture shows artistically alienated house facades with a view of a darkening sky. The house facades are massively overlaid with stickers, posters and graffiti, creating a new surface texture.
“Orderly Circumstances” from the picture series ‘Established Freedoms’ (Berlin) / 2024

On a house façade further back, a call to action is painted in large letters. Street signs and fences covered with posters create a jungle of image textures in the superimposition of multiple exposures.
“View Over the Garden Fence” from the picture series ‘Established Freedoms’ (Berlin) / 2024

The depicted residential high-rises have a dystopian effect. Construction site fences in the foreground, rows of balconies and other fragments of urban façade elements are superimposed to create a gloomy backdrop.
“Space for Development” from the picture series ‘Established Freedoms’ (Berlin) / 2024

A steel bridge with confusing substructure constructions. Riveted and bolted iron girders condense into a technical labyrinth through the fusion of several snapshots.
