The first panel of the large portrait format shows a central, enthroned figure of power against a deep black background, pulling strings like a puppeteer. On the following three panels, the strings lead to deeper levels of power, where more and more subordinate puppeteers fan out. The levels depict typical hierarchies as found in politics and corporations. The silver-metallic surface of the figure was achieved using a 3D printer, and the ensemble was artistically staged and photographed. The figure appears ornamental, surrounded by a swarm of flies. In the upper left corner is a golden, circular logo with minimalist, abstract contours. They could represent a mysterious person.
On the second panel, two managers hang from the strings of the highest position of power, controlling the figures on the next, third level.
On the third panel level, four subordinates hang, their strings leading to the last, fourth level.
On the lowest level, a group of people can be seen, with threads ending in their heads and limbs, controlled by the levels above. The figures show striking, destructive disturbances in their skin-colored surfaces and are partially broken. The focus on the front row of figures achieves a reduced depth of field.
“Decision of Belonging” from the picture series ‘Echos of the Lullabies’ / 2025

The following image panels are significantly smaller. This composition depicts a golden, highly abstract figure. Like the logo, which always appears in the same position, it is colored gold and is surrounded by proportionally oversized flies. Almost all of the flies circle the enthroned figure counterclockwise.
“Believe me!” Echo: “We believe in you!” from the picture series ‘Echos of the Lullabies’

In this and all subsequent image panels, the group of figures on the lowest level is depicted. As in the image panels of the work Decision of Belonging, the depth of field is reduced. In this setting, the figures look away from the viewer and are seen from behind. The image focus is further back, and the front, semi-transparent figures are blurred.
“Listen!” Echo: “We are listening!” from the picture series ‘Echos of the Lullabies’

The focus is on the figures in the left foreground, whose mouths are exchanging an indefinable mass.
“Repeat after me!” Echo: “We’ll catch up!” from the picture series ‘Echos of the Lullabies’

A figure stretches its arms toward the black sky. At the bottom left, a kneeling figure without a complete head is blurred into the background.
“Can you feel it?” Echo: “Yes, we feel it!” from the picture series ‘Echos of the Lullabies’

A central figure handles sticky-looking threads printed from the same material as the figures.
“Vote for me!” Echo: “We have chosen you!” from the picture series ‘Echos of the Lullabies’

“We will win!” Echo: “Victory is ours!” from the picture series ‘Echos of the Lullabies’

In the foreground, a figure pushes its way out of the crowd and stares in the opposite direction to the other figures.
“Follow us!” Echo: “We will follow!” from the picture series ‘Echos of the Lullabies’

On the right edge of the group, the focus is on a figure with growths on its head that appears deformed.
“Do it!” Echo: “I will do it now!” from the picture series ‘Echos of the Lullabies’

Another figure with more pronounced growths is shown. Parts of the body are disintegrating.
“Fight!” Echo: “We will fight!” from the picture series ‘Echos of the Lullabies’
